How I came to write Pim
People often ask how I came to write Pim. It seems like a thousand years since I discovered Pim, or that Pim discovered me. Thankfully I kept detailed notes and saved photos from that time. While I can’t swear to the absolute accuracy of what you are about to read, I have done my best to capture the essence of how Pim entered my life.

Locked out of Pim’s jar Pim indeed divided in 2. Then 2 divided into 4. Then 4 into 8. Then 8 into 16. And so on. Continue doing the math and you’ll discover just how alarming the progression was.

Before going to jail Slim put a lock on Pim’s jar. If Pims are not kept in salt water overnight they divide in two!

Slim called Pim because Slim was back in jail for stealing a 1970 Eldorado. Slim was enjoying it there.

Pim: I fear my sibling Slim is making the kind of choices that will send him to jail again.

Unfortunately a lot of Pim’s library mysteriously disappeared. Including the first copy of Pim’s own ‘PIM’!

Pim: I like to imagine I’m on the shelf with other authors. Wondering who the reader will choose.

My sibling, Slim, is very hungry whenever he returns from jail.

Pim: My sibling, Slim, was jailed for unspeakable acts. But being so pliable Slim quickly escaped.

Because Pim is invertebrate and amphibious and cold blooded and rubbery Pim enjoys surfing Niagara Falls. It’s most enjoyable at night when multicoloured lights sift through the spray.

Pim: To celebrate the anniversary of our dividing in two, my sibling Bim brought over a strange found object.
