How I came to write Pim
People often ask how I came to write Pim. It seems like a thousand years since I discovered Pim, or that Pim
discovered me. Thankfully I kept detailed notes and saved photos from that time. While I can’t swear to the
absolute accuracy of what you are about to read, I have done my best to capture the essence of how Pim entered my life.
Freed of the tracking device on what had been his leg, the well-dressed albatross was less compelled to keep moving from place to place.
And then Noako experienced a terrible setback and was reduced to a pool of tears and a mop of tangled hair on the floor of the back seat.
Pim’s instructions in friendly but flawed Spanish made EMS disarticulate the WDA rather than the plumbing. They fitted the WDA with a peg.
Naoko needed little probing to supply some backstory
By complete accident Pim and Bim found the Well-Dressed Albatross recumbent and entangled in the plumbing.
Like many a cab driver, Slim would draw out the cares of a passenger, and offer commentary.
On awakening in the washroom marked “caballeros” the WDA found his leg bracelet inexplicably linked to the plumbing.
While Gim simply rested in the back seat. Focused on a happy place.
Naoko was overwhelmed by her good fortune. So close to her destination. And finding locals happy to assist.
