At 4:00 am, illuminated by a vibrant night sky, Mrs. Love and Mr. Love faced one another like figures in a tableau.
Mr. Love and Mrs. Love walked on, growing now closer, now more apart, finally meeting as converging paths will, and at a familiar locale.
Traversing the starkest desert expanse, midday, under blistering sun, Mr. Love discerned the unmistakable form of Mrs. Love on the horizon.
Tired of these prolix laments, Ogee recalled the itching powder he was to use against Mrs. Love, and tossed it instead at the WDA.
The Well-Dressed Albatross spoke at length about many things, things that Ogee recorded and stored as emojis.
Surprisingly, Ogee found not Mrs. Love but rather the Well-Dressed Albatross, sitting in the wing chair.
And as for all visitors, the door to Mrs. Love’s chamber–so emphatically shut in the hall’s stark geometry–was ajar when Ogee reached it.
Freedom being the unnavigable stream it is, Ogee continued into the prison and found Gim in the darkened corridor, just as Slim had.
On the way into Mrs. Love’s prison Ogee was struck (twice) by lightening, obliterating the program that registered him to a specific owner.
