As the city grew ever nearer, Gim was approached by an old acquaintance.

How I came to write Pim
People often ask how I came to write Pim. It seems like a thousand years since I discovered Pim, or that Pim
discovered me. Thankfully I kept detailed notes and saved photos from that time. While I can’t swear to the
absolute accuracy of what you are about to read, I have done my best to capture the essence of how Pim entered my life.

On the verge, yet again, of perishing Gim descovered that the city was growing nearer.
Lois and Stiv dropped a business card for water service next to Gim and quickly ran on.
Several days after his departure the employers of the WDA noticed the WDA’s absence.
So. Having opted to make a skittery bolt for the city, Lois and Stiv came upon a particularly desiccated Gim, gone days without hydration.
Back at the factory, Lois and Stiv realized that not knowing what Pim and Bim were up to was worse than having them in the building.
And then, by means inexplicable to any of them, Pim, Bim and the Well-Dressed Albatross were in the city and at a rooftop bar.
Just as the city shrank to a speck on the horizon, a speck of similar size appeared in the sky.
And so the Well-Dressed Albatross walked to the office window, took flight, and found the leap less troubling than he’d feared.
And then the Well-Dressed Albatross considered the most radical initiative of his consistently cautious life.
