How I came to write Pim
People often ask how I came to write Pim. It seems like a thousand years since I discovered Pim, or that Pim discovered me. Thankfully I kept detailed notes and saved photos from that time. While I can’t swear to the absolute accuracy of what you are about to read, I have done my best to capture the essence of how Pim entered my life.

Clarice downloaded the app and aimed it at the pattern in the night sky and felt a strange sadness.

In fact, the figures in the sky were the text of Mr. Love’s new set of poems. Projected as a hologram and requiring an app to decrypt.

Pim and Bim were inclined to see it as purely decorative.

Clive was already overwriting the pattern in the sky with his own theories and calculations.

Clearly something was in the air. For the Well-Dressed Albatross it was to be read as a banner in a foreign script, listing beverages.

Gim chose to skip the hotel and slip back into the void. But the crop of holes was gone. And now a baffling pattern was etched on the sky.

Under dark stars Gim moved toward the only lit room in the hotel.

Through an uncharacteristic act of will, the whim of an ambivalent god, or random chance, Gim escaped the void via a crop of holes.

Slim, after wandering the desert at night, meeting no one, and loving it, came at last to the hotel. Its lit room had potential.
