How I came to write Pim
People often ask how I came to write Pim. It seems like a thousand years since I discovered Pim, or that Pim discovered me. Thankfully I kept detailed notes and saved photos from that time. While I can’t swear to the absolute accuracy of what you are about to read, I have done my best to capture the essence of how Pim entered my life.

In a space that was the very definition of anywhere, Pim and Bim had a simultaneous thought.

What with a precariously suspended ostrich and the encroachment of rats, Joachín decided he’d be just as safe in the city. So he returned home, arriving seconds after the WDA had departed.

Destined for places no one has ever been, Pim and Bim left Clive imprisoned in desert earth, yet intellectually unencumbered.

Thinking it might get him to leave, Gwyneth fitted the Well-Dressed Albatross with the finest apparel Joaquín’s possessed, and made the alterations herself.

Meanwhile, the upper extremity of Clive was becoming receptive to the situation.

As Joachín was discovering the lower extremities of Clive, Lois and Stiv were discovering the lower extremities of Clive, and Joachín.

Inspecting the burrow for wear and tear Joachín came upon the bottom of Clive at the same moment Pim and Bim came upon the top of Clive.

However, their descent was impeded by Clive.

Pim and Bim came upon one of Joachín’s secret passageways and with little hesitation agreed to dive in.

Having no tailored apparel for the normally Well Dressed Albatross, Gwyneth offered him the company’s branded T-shirt, the largest of which fit rather tightly. She also offered to make him breakfast.
