How I came to write Pim
People often ask how I came to write Pim. It seems like a thousand years since I discovered Pim, or that Pim discovered me. Thankfully I kept detailed notes and saved photos from that time. While I can’t swear to the absolute accuracy of what you are about to read, I have done my best to capture the essence of how Pim entered my life.

On approaching the carrot-missile Pim and Bim encountered the Well-Dressed Albatross, who had mistaken the weapon for decor at a high-concept drinking establishment.

Positioned at the nadir of a desert depression was a missile shaped like a giant carrot.

Unfolding the document Pim and Bim discovered a map and plans for a ferocious attack.

The shadowy figure approached Pim and Bim and, as was his wont, held forth a document folded in three.

Pim and Bim wandered the earth for weeks, their receptiveness to the Earth and its surfaces being more than enough to sustain high spirits. They were particularly enthralled by a group of hoodoos, behind which lurked the shadowy figure.

From a distance Pim and Bim saw Mr. Love and Clive at the very moment of Clive’s emergence.

Stand long enough before a hole and something will emerge from it. In this case, Clive.

Coming upon one of the openings to Joachín’s burrow Mr. Love planted himself before it, statuesque as a carnivore expecting prey.

In the darkest recesses of the burrow Clive stepped upon a substance confirming his theory that he had indeed, fallen into an alternate reality.

At some point late in the evening the Well-Dressed Albatross noticed that Pim and Bim were no longer there.
